Cherokee language classes for adults and youth. Classes are ongoing, please contact for further details and upcoming events.

  • Elder Card Exchange

Our elders play a vital and important role in our tribal communities. The elder card exchange is wonderful to show appreciation for all that they do.

  • Young Cherokees Story Hour

The Young Cherokees story hour introduces Cherokee language and culture to youth through vibrant and rich stories.

“I became the chairwoman for the Young Cherokees because while I have always known who I am, I lacked role models deeply connected to our culture. Growing up, no one in my family had extensive knowledge of our language or cultural values. As I began learning about what it means to be Cherokee, our ancestral language, and our traditions, I realized I wanted to provide the guidance and inspiration missing from my upbringing. As a teacher, sharing knowledge brings me immense joy, and it is even more fulfilling to integrate our language and traditions into my teaching. Becoming a role model for the younger generation and helping them connect with their heritage is a privilege and a passion.” Candace Richardson
